Author Description Dave Schaafsma is a Retired Professor of English at the University of Illinois at Chicago, having taught English for 50 years, 37 years in English Education, 26 years at UIC. He's the author or co-editor of six books and is in the process of writing more, but every day he obsessively reads and writes (sometimes sloppily in part because of vision issues, sorry) reviews here on Goodreads.<br />
